After qualifying in 1983, Terry has worked in both the private and public sectors of construction. Currently, Terry specialises in healthcare and education projects, although he retains many other interests as a former Education Officer for the West Midlands region of CIAT. In addition to this, Terry is also a regular contributor to Grand Designs Live exhibition (Birmingham and London) as an Expert Advisor representing TNM Architecture.
 
In his spare time, Terry is a keen single figure handicap golfer, who has captained his golf club twice, whilst recently holding the President position.
